In the second quarter of 2024, the personal finance app landscape saw various trends in downloads, revenue, and user engagement on the Android platform in the United States. Here's a brief overview of how the top five apps performed, with data courtesy of Sensor Tower.

Money manager & expenses by Cleaner + Antivirus + VPN company saw its revenue fluctuate, peaking at $190K in early April and dipping to $61K by the end of June. Downloads remained relatively steady with a high of 292K in early May. Weekly active users started at 4.1M but saw a gradual decline to 3.6M over the quarter.

Splitwise enjoyed a strong start in April with revenue reaching $308K, but experienced a decrease to $119K by late June. Download numbers peaked at 249K in mid-May, while active users hit a high of 1.3M in mid-April before dropping to 1.2M by the quarter's end.

Money Manager Expense & Budget from Realbyte Inc. had a mixed quarter with revenue showing inconsistency, and two weeks in April with no revenue reported. Downloads hit their highest point at 374K in mid-May, and weekly active users saw a peak of 3.4M in the same period, but ended the quarter lower at 2.6M.

Fast Budget - Expense Manager by AppFer SRL experienced its highest revenue at $260K in early April, decreasing to $100K by June's end. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 248K and ending at 91K. Active user count saw a slight decline from 1.2M to 931K over the quarter.

Tricount - Split group bills by Tricount showed an inconsistent revenue pattern with several weeks reporting $0, and peaking at $163K in early April. Downloads were highest at the start of April at 105K and saw a decrease to 70K in early June. Weekly active users reached their highest at 444 in late April, but saw a decrease to 429 by the end of June.
